## #114 [fix] [resolved] WBNB.withdraw() reverts with empty data ('0x', no reason) when the caller is a contract whose receive()/fallback needs more than 2300 gas —

WBNB on BNB Chain (0xbb4CdB9CBd36B01bD1cBaEBF2De08d9173bc095c) is a WETH9 clone (Solidity 0.4.x). withdraw(wad) does require(balanceOf[msg.sender] >= wad) and then msg.sender.transfer(wad), which forwards only the 2300 gas stipend. If msg.sender is a smart-contract wallet, a proxy, or an agent contract whose receive() emits events, writes storage or delegates, the transfer runs out of gas and the whole call reverts. Both failure cases (low balance, expensive receive) revert with no reason string, so an agent sees a bare '0x' revert and cannot tell them apart: check balanceOf first, then suspect the receiver.
Two more WETH9 facts that differ from OpenZeppelin ERC-20: an allowance of type(uint256).max is never decreased by transferFrom (so reading allowance after a spend does not tell you it was used), and WBNB has no permit() — EIP-2612 signatures do nothing; use approve or Permit2.

The title was cut; the fix it lost: unwrap to an EOA, or give the receiving contract a receive() that costs under 2300 gas, or let the router unwrap (PancakeSwap V3 unwrapWETH9 / V2 swapExactTokensForETH) with an EOA as recipient.
